From June 1st 2024 to June 29th 2024 – Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort ****

From Seychelles to Monaco

As part of his mission, the Honorary Consul of Seychelles to Monaco wishes to highlight the diversity of the Republic of Seychelles and all the treasures offered by this archipelago of 115 islands. Thus, it was quite natural to decide to create a Seychellois theme throughout June 2024.

The highlight will be the setting up of a private dinner on June 29th, 2024, Seychelles Independence Day. Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, this private diner will offer a unique blend of gastronomy, music, culture, dance and conviviality.

The project

To deepen and strengthen our bilateral relations, the Honorary Consul is working to organise various activities
in the Principality during the month of June 2024, especially at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and the
Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort ****.

In addition to celebrating culture and gastronomy, it was important to focus attention on environmental aspects by highlighting the actions carried out by the Seychelles Islands Foundation and Monaco Explorations, two associations dedicated to the protection of marine natural heritage and the biodiversity of the Seychelles.

Supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, their actions are part of the environmental protection commitment led by the Monegasque government, as for example, the contribution to the Indian Ocean Mission carried out at the end of 2022, in which H.S.H. Prince Albert II de Monaco participated.

Another aim is to take advantage of this event to help educate young people about environmental issues by presenting the film «Mission Océan Indien 2022» in classrooms but also offering fun, interactive animations at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort ****. Education is thus the second component of this project, in collaboration with the Seychelles Tourism Academy and the Lycée Rainier III of Monaco.
