We are delighted to report on the success of our event dedicated to Seychelles, which took place throughout the month of June in the Principality. The event offered to the participants the opportunity to discover the treasures of this archipelago while raising awareness of the importance of protecting our environment.
One of the highlights of this celebration took place on Saturday, June 29th, with an official ceremony of a Coco de mer seed by the Seychelles Islands Foundation (S.I.F.) to the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
This rare and emblematic species from Seychelles, threatened with extinction, has thus joined Mark Dion’s, “Oceanomania,” the largest marine curiosity cabinet in the world.
Organized by the Oceanographic Institute, in partnership with the Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Seychelles in Monaco, this ceremony embodies a strengthened collaboration between Monaco and Seychelles in favour of the preservation of the natural world heritage.
We are particularly proud to have contributed to this collective effort to protect our planet and promote its unique treasures !
