DES SEYCHELLES A MONACO
June 1st 2024 to June 29th 2024

As part of his mission, the Honorary Consul of Seychelles to Monaco wishes to highlight the diversity of the Republic of Seychelles and all the treasures offered by this archipelago of 115 islands.

Thus, it was quite natural to decide to create a Seychellois theme declined throughout the year 2024, by offering with the support of our partners, various activities in the Principality, in particulary at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort****

The highlight will be the setting up of a Private Gala dinner with a charity auction, on June 29th, 2024, Seychelles Independence Day. Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, this evening will offer a unique blend of gastronomy, music, culture, dance and conviviality.

The project

As starting point of the project, the Indian Ocean Mission, carried out in October-November 2022 by the Explorations of Monaco.
The main objectives of the expedition were to expand knowledge, encourage the exchange and transmission of knowledge, and strengthen diplomatic relations.
Thus, and additionally to the celebration of Seychelles, FROM SEYCHELLES TO MONACO follows in the footsteps of these commitments:
Environmental and educational, by supporting the actions of :
The Seychelles Islands Foundation, via the «Eco-School – Trip of a Lifetime» program
The Oceanographic Institute with the educational contest «Oceano pour tous»;
The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the «Re.Generation Future Leaders Program» initiative.

Given the crucial importance of raising awareness among the younger generation about environmental issues for the future, it was decided that a fundraising event to support these projects would be organized during the event.

The educational aspect of the event will also involve schools of the Principality and the Seychelles Tourism Academy, and offer at a broad public pedagogic and interactive animations at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort ****.

In line with the wish to strengthen interstate relations between Seychelles and Monaco, a first key moment will be the Monaco Ocean Week, during which the first results of the Ocean Indian Mission will be discussed in the presence of the Minister for Fisheries and the Blue Economy, Jean-François FERRARI.
The collaboration between the two countries will also continue on other pro-environmental projects.
